I’m in the home stretch! Thanks to Faith Living Church and the Niatopskys (shout out!), I have entered the “I’m definitely going to Cambodia!” phase.
I’m in the part of budget where the rest of the money is need is for “luxuries” like transportation, language learning, and emergencies. Now… let me make a case for why these things are still important. Transportation will allow me to travel outside of my neighborhood so I can meet people/make relationships/be involved in ministry events/experience Cambodia. Language learning will provide me with unique opportunities to engage in conversions with locals and start to build friendships and reach out to the community. Nobody wants to talk to the snobby American who only knows English! And as for emergencies… well… accidents happen. Let’s hope I won’t have to break into that fund, but it’s nice to know that if I’m dying I will be able to go to the hospital. haha
SO! I’m definitely going to Cambodia, but will you help me: drive to town, learn language, and be prepared for an emergency?!
