Over the past few months, I have developed a sort of obsession with linen. Particularly linen pants. Linen is very popular in Asia for a very practical reason. It’s light. Linen is the best way to dress in VERY hot weather and still appear modest. When sweating under 114 degree sunshine, one’s instinct is to throw on a bikini and DIVE into the pool. Not an option. Linen is the next best thing.
Linen is really a hit or miss. During my days of working at a consignment shop, I saw my share of hideous/awful linen outfits. But recently, I have been seeing nicer, more creative cuts and styles of linen pants. The best I’ve seen were by American Apparel, Express, Banana Republic, and Urban Outfitters.
