Bendy straws. Bubble wrap. An empty juice box. Old maps. Magazines. Newspaper. Tissue paper. What do all of these things have in common? You can wear them.

Earth day was celebrated in style Friday at the MAC650 Gallery, where professional dancer/designer Amy Merli organized an “Eco Trashion Fashion Show,” where…yep…women strut their stuff on the runway wearing nothing but trash.  The Lady Gaga-esque outfits were nothing but fantastic, from a bubble wrap bow to teased up hairstyles filled with plastic utensils to a flapper dress made entirely of…bendy straws? The show incorporated dance and was designed to promote and benefit recycling/saving the earth/all that good stuff. It was really just a lovely night.
