For as long as I can remember, I have declared “I will never date someone who rides a motorcycle” as one of my few hangups. I’ve even gone as far to say I would NEVER get on a motorcycle. Now, I am not recanting either of those things, but I’m going to have to give them some serious thought. The other day I rode on the back of a moto (sort of like a motorcycle/scooter half-breed) and loved it. I mean…really loved. So much so that I went home and had a serious conversation with myself.
I can see myself riding a scooter. It’s like a moto but more feminine and easier to use. Scooters are at least 5 times cheaper than cars, use at least 5 times less gas, have 5 times cheaper insurance, and don’t require any sort of training. I could easily afford one and Richmond is very “scooter friendly”. It would be a nice time to let a buddy hop on the back and ride over to Carytown for milkshakes and a $2 movie. I genuinely think I am going to buy one when I get back to the states. Which means I have changed my mind about something I never thought I would change my mind about. Which means, what other things am I wrong about?
